Getting started

What is AABStudio?

AABStudio is a video production platform. It gives you a teleprompter, a way to break your script into scenes, recording tools, AI Presenter, an editor and export, all in one place.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open aabstudio.ai on your computer, tablet or phone and sign in. Allow camera and microphone access when you are asked, so you can record.

Is the teleprompter free?

Yes. Anyone can use the teleprompter to read a script, with no time limit on reading. Recording inside the teleprompter has a daily limit on the Free plan and no limit on paid plans. See the Pricing page for the details.

What can I upload?

Common image, video and audio files such as JPG, PNG, WEBP, MP4, WEBM, MP3 and WAV. Finished videos are exported as MP4.

Plans, credits and billing

What are credits used for?

Credits are used for AI Presenter. A video is only charged when it is generated successfully. Recording, editing and exporting do not use credits.

Do unused credits roll over?

Yes, while your subscription stays active. Credits cannot be used on the Free plan and end when an account is closed. Full rules are in our Terms of Service.

What if I run out of credits?

You can buy extra credits from Billing on any paid plan. Everything else in your plan keeps working.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, from Billing. A cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Can I get a refund?

If you are a consumer, you can cancel a new subscription within 14 days, as explained in our Terms of Service. Otherwise payments are not refundable, apart from your rights under consumer law.

Your videos and data

Who owns my videos?

You own your scripts, recordings and the videos you make. We only use them as needed to run the platform for you. The Terms of Service explain this in full.

Can I use my videos for business or client work?

Yes. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you use, including music, images, logos, and the face or voice of anyone who appears.

Can your staff see my projects?

Your projects are private. Our staff can only view a project in limited situations, such as when you switch on support access for it, and every view is recorded. The Privacy Policy sets out when this can happen.

How is my personal data handled?

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the platform, and the rights you have.

AI Presenter

How does AI Presenter work?

Choose a scene, then pick a presenter or upload your own photo. AABStudio creates a video of that presenter reading the scene and adds it to your project.

How long does it take?

Usually a few minutes. The time varies with the length of the scene and how busy the service is.

Why does the video not look exactly like my photo?

AI Presenter builds a new video from a single image, so the result can differ from the original. A sharp photo, facing forward, with even light and a plain background usually works best.

Can I use a photo of someone else?

Only with their clear permission. You must not use AI Presenter to impersonate anyone or to mislead people about who is speaking.
