Please read these terms carefully. They explain your rights and ours when you use AABStudio.ai, including how subscriptions, credits and cancellations work, what content is allowed, and the limits on our liability.
1. About these terms
These terms are a contract between you and AABStudio, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17392839, whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (“AABStudio”, “we”, “us”). They cover the AABStudio.ai platform on every device, including our website and any apps (the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Services.
Our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer explain how we handle personal data and other important points, and form part of these terms.
If you use the Services for your business, you are a business user. Otherwise you are a consumer, and some sections below give you extra protection that the law requires.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- If you use the Services for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password private, and use the extra sign in protection available in your account settings.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at admin@aabstudio.ai as soon as possible if you think someone else has used it.
3. Plans, payment and renewal
- Paid plans are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- When you change plan or seats, the change applies straight away and any price difference is worked out automatically.
- If a payment fails, we may limit or pause paid features until it is paid, and may move the account to the Free plan.
- We may change our prices. If a change affects an existing subscription, we will give you reasonable notice before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Prices include any VAT we are required to charge, unless we say otherwise.
4. Consumers: your right to cancel within 14 days
If you are a consumer, the law gives you the right to cancel a new paid subscription within 14 days of buying it. Because the Services start straight away, by subscribing you ask us to start providing them during those 14 days. If you cancel in that time, you will be refunded what you paid, less a fair amount for the Services already provided and the value of any credits you have used. To cancel, use Billing or email admin@aabstudio.ai.
Apart from this and your other rights under consumer law, payments are not refundable.
5. Credits
- Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance, and you can buy extra credits while on a paid plan. At present, credits are used for AI Presenter.
- Unused credits carry over while your subscription stays active. They cannot be used while your account is on the Free plan, and they end when your account is closed.
- AI Presenter credits are only taken when a video is generated successfully.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. The only exception is that members of a Studio Team use their team's shared credits.
- We may change how many credits a feature uses. A change applies from when we announce it and never to credits already spent.
6. Free plan and limits
The Free plan and the free teleprompter are offered as they are, with usage limits such as a daily recording limit. Exports on the Free plan carry an AABStudio watermark. We may change or withdraw free features and limits at any time.
7. Studio Team workspaces
- The subscriber who owns a team is responsible for it, including inviting and removing members, the number of paid seats, and the team's use of shared credits.
- The team owner is responsible for making sure members follow these terms. Each member must also accept these terms personally.
- Every member can open and edit every team project. Team projects belong to the team, so a member who leaves or is removed loses access to them, including projects they created.
- If the team's subscription ends, members lose access to team projects and the owner keeps access.
8. Your content
You own your content: your scripts, recordings, uploads and the videos you make. You give us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free licence to host, store, copy, process, send, display and adapt it (for example to make thumbnails, exports and captions), and to pass it to the companies that help us run the Services, only as needed to provide, protect and support the Services and to meet our legal duties.
This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from copies held in backups for a limited time and anything we must keep by law. We do not use your content to train AI models of our own.
Our staff can only view your projects in the limited, recorded situations described in the Privacy Policy under “When our staff can see your projects”.
9. Your responsibility for content
You are responsible for the content you upload, create and publish with the Services. You confirm that:
- you own it, or have every right, licence and permission needed to use it, including any music, footage, images, logos and scripts;
- you have the permission of every identifiable person whose face, likeness or voice appears in your content or is used to make it, including photos used for AI Presenter; and
- your content and the way you use it do not break any law or anyone's rights, including copyright, trade marks, privacy, data protection and defamation.
We do not check content before it is created or published, and we are not responsible for content our users create.
10. AI features
- Some AI features rely on specialist outside providers. Results can be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to results made for others, and they depend on what you put in. Check every result before you use or publish it.
- AI features depend on those providers, and may change, be limited or be unavailable at times. The providers' own content rules also apply.
- You must not use AI features to impersonate anyone, to show a real person without their permission, or to mislead people about who is speaking or what is real.
- Where the law or the place you publish requires it, you must label AI generated or AI altered content.
- We may use safety filters and may refuse requests that appear to break these terms.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use the Services to:
- create, upload or share anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material (which we report to the authorities), terrorist content, or content that encourages violence;
- harass, threaten, bully, defame or discriminate against anyone, or create sexual or intimate content of a real person without their consent;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- deceive people, for example through scams, fraud, impersonation, fake endorsements, or false information about elections or health;
- send spam, or spread malware or harmful code;
- get into accounts, projects or systems without permission, test our security without our written permission, or overload or disrupt the Services;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the Services, or get around plan limits, credits, watermarks or security measures; or
- help anyone else do any of these things.
12. Reports, review and enforcement
We may look into suspected breaches of these terms, including by viewing content in the recorded way described in our Privacy Policy. If we reasonably believe content or an account breaks these terms or the law, we may remove or block content, limit features, or pause or close the account, and we may report illegal content to the authorities. Where it is practical and lawful, we will tell you the reason. To report content, or to challenge a decision we have made, email admin@aabstudio.ai.
13. Copyright and other rights complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your rights, email admin@aabstudio.ai with your contact details, the work you own, where the content is, and a statement that your complaint is accurate and made in good faith. We review complaints and may remove content, and we may close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
14. Our intellectual property
The Services, including the software, design, the AABStudio name and logo, and all related intellectual property, belong to us or to those who license them to us. We give you a personal right, which you cannot transfer, to use the Services under these terms. You may not copy, change or build on the Services. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
15. Outside services
The Services rely on other companies, for example for hosting, payments, AI video, email delivery and security checks. Their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for outside services or websites, including any outage or change to them, except where we are at fault.
16. Changes and availability
We keep developing the Services and may add, change or remove features. The Services may not always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may carry out maintenance. If we make a change that significantly and negatively affects a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you where we reasonably can, and you may cancel. Keep your own copies of important content: export the videos you need and do not rely on the Services as your only copy.
17. Support
You can ask for help by emailing admin@aabstudio.ai. We deal with support requests as we reasonably can, and we do not commit to particular response or resolution times on any plan. Where a plan mentions priority support, it means we aim to deal with those requests ahead of others, not within a set time.
18. Beta and preview features
We sometimes offer features marked as beta, preview or early access. They may not work as expected, may change without notice, and may be withdrawn at any time. Use them at your own judgement.
19. Suspension and closure
- You can close your account at any time from your account settings.
- We may pause or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if payment is not made, if the law requires it, or if your use creates a risk for us, our users or others. Where it is reasonable, we may warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
- When an account is closed, access ends and content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, so download anything you want to keep first.
- Sections that by their nature should continue after closure, including sections 8 to 10, 14 and 20 to 24, continue to apply.
20. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights, including your right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Subject to that:
- Consumers: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. The Services are for personal use unless you are a business user.
- Business users: we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, expected savings or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. As far as the law allows, the Services are provided without any warranty, condition or term that is not set out in these terms.
- Our total liability to you for all claims in any period of 12 months is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim, and (b) £100.
- We are not responsible for content created or published by users, or for how you use content made with the Services.
21. Your responsibility to us
If you are a business user, you will cover any losses, costs and reasonable legal fees we incur because of claims by others relating to your content, your use of the Services in breach of these terms, or your breach of anyone's rights. If you are a consumer, you are responsible for losses you cause us by breaking these terms, as far as the law allows.
22. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or hosting outages, problems with outside AI providers, cyber attacks, power cuts, natural events, or government action.
23. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the Services or the law. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects you, we will give you reasonable notice by email or in the platform, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you do not accept a change, you can close your account or cancel your subscription before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated terms.
24. General
- Whole agreement: these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
- If part is invalid: if any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we are slow to enforce a right, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer: we may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if our business is sold. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
- Other people: no one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
- Notices: we may contact you at the email address on your account. Formal notices to us should go to admin@aabstudio.ai or to our registered office.
- Law and courts: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
